Does the AI make things up?

Answers are generated only from documents retrieved out of your knowledge base, and every answer cites its sources. The system prompt forbids inventing policies, numbers, or names that aren't in the sources.

Which AI model does CompassDocs use?

You bring your own Anthropic API key and pick the Claude model in Settings → AI. The key stays on your server.

Does search respect permissions?

Yes. Search results and AI answers only ever include documents the signed-in user has access to — private spaces stay private.
